Kale – the king of cabbage
In northern Germany, kale is traditionally eaten during the winter months as a hearty home-cooked meal together with potatoes, Pinkelwurst and smoked pork.
Kale is now a trendy vegetable and is valued worldwide for its nutrients and positive properties.
Our kale is grown on the Cordes farm in Lower Saxony. The seeds come from our own breeding. After harvesting, the young leaf shoots are gently dried and ground into powder.
Our own cabbage varieties from Northern Germany
The superfood is grown exclusively on a family farm in northern Germany near Vechta. The seeds come from our own breeding, which is why we also produce them ourselves.
What's inside?
- High content of lutein and zeaxanthin (carotenoids)
- potassium
- Vitamins (vitamin K, vitamin C, vitamin A (beta-carotene)
- Calcium
Fresh kale contains a lot of potassium, vitamin K and vitamin C and is rich in beta-carotene (plant-based vitamin A). It is also the vegetable with the highest calcium content. Our powder also contains particularly high levels of lutein and zeaxanthin (carotenoids).
Carotenoids are secondary plant substances and can only be produced by plants. The carotenoid lutein is always accompanied by zeaxanthin and is found mainly in dark green leafy vegetables.

Our tip
Find out about the ingredients in kale in specialist literature, from alternative practitioners, doctors or nutritionists, and you can also find a lot on the Internet . For example, lutein and zeaxanthin are little known, and nature has already come up with a lot of ideas. It is important to look for good sources.
